Camp ReCreation, Weekend Getaway, & ACE

Welcome to Camp ReCreation and our affiliated camps! Our 3 different camps offer adults and children with disabilities a place to create memories and friendships to last a lifetime, discover and rejoice in the Spirit of our Creator, and offer a time of respite to their loving caregivers.

For the past 30 years, Camp ReCreation has offered campers a chance to enjoy the thrill of team sports, silly games, arts and crafts, music and drama, all within a loving and accepting spiritual environment. Come see what Camp ReCreation is all about and you, too, will be all smiles!

Buddy Spotlight Featuring Mark Brewer

Mark Brewer has a smile that could light up time square and devotion to the Lakers that rivals Jack Nicholson! He may not say much, but his eyes tell stories for days and you always know that you are his number one! Mark Brewer is one of Camp ReCreation’s veteran campers. He has been attending camp for 20 years now, keeping all of us volunteers in line. Thank you, Mark for making us smile, reminding us what’s important, and touching more than 2 decade’s worth of young people’s lives with your inspiration and determination to bring just one more championship back to LA. We love you Mark, what a great ride it has been. Keep on smiling!

Volunteer Spotlight Featuring Frankie Russo

Frankie Russo is a freshman at Gonzaga University and an active member of the Crew Team, not to mention a 3 year volunteer of ReCreation Camp! He joined other students on campus to work with the Athletic Department to support an organization called Centerpointe, taking a group of adults with disabilities to a basketball game for fan appreciation night. The night was a complete success and the group is working to make it an annual event! Thanks for bringing the Camp Spirit to Gonzaga U, Frankie!

Do you have a Buddy or Volunteer you want to nominate for Star of the Month? Send your nominations to the directors at camp@ccoc.org
